Achievements are fun badges that contributors can earn. They are displayed on the sidebar of each user page. Earning badges gives you points, that will influence your position on the leaderboards.
Note: Do not abuse achievements. Do not make false edits to earn badges. The achievements system is pretty bare bones on Wiki; the only way to remove badges that have not been earned and leaderboard position would be to block the user. This is not something that we want to do, the system is supposed to be a fun incentive for quality editing.
