Dave Willis is an American voice actor, writer, and producer and is the co-creator of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Dave Willis has worked with various other [adult swim] shows, which are produced by Williams Street Studios. He was first hired in 1995 for Williams Street (which was then known as Ghost Planet Industries) as a writer/producer of Cartoon Planet and then as a writer for Space Ghost Coast to Coast (SGC2C or SGCTC for short) in 1996. In 2000, he helped write and produce the two The Brak Show specials.
While working with Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Willis first met Matt Maiellaro, with whom he would create many short films with and then eventually create Aqua Teen Hunger Force (ATHF for short). ATHF debuted on the then unnamed adult programming block in the early hours of December 30, 2000 with its pilot episode, "Rabbot," and would then officially debut on Adult Swim on September 16th, 2001. Since then, ATHF has become the longest running,and one of the most successful shows on Adult Swim. Dave also provides many voices on ATHF, including Meatwad, Carl and Ignignokt.
Dave Willis is also the creator of Squidbillies, a show about anthropomorphic hillbilly squids, which first aired in October 2005. Since its premiere,it has proven to be quite successful during its entire run.
Outside of Adult Swim, Dave has also written the Family Guy episode New Kidney in Town, voices the character Barry Dylan on the FX animated series Archer, and has had various voice acting roles on the MTV series Celebrity Deathmatch.
Dave's works mostly fall into the surreal genre, and he has stated that he was inspired by animator Don Hertzfeldt.
