"Shake Like Me" is the second episode of the sixth season of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the 80th episode overall. It was originally featured as an episode on disc two of the ATHF Volume Six DVD Box Set, and officially aired on April 5th, 2009.

Plot

The episode starts with the Aqua Teens watched some workers dumped some toxic waste at a house, the irritates Frylock. He told Meatwad and Master Shake that this is an issue to the neighborhood and to talked to them. Later, he comes back in a hazmat suit saying that they stopped dumping the waste, only to dumped more of it. He leaves and comes back to say they stopped for real, only to do it again. Shake angrily walks over there with a golf club to complain and he threatens to beat up a radioactive black man, he tells him to come down. Shake stares in shock to that he taller and larger than him due to the waste. Meatwad keeps mistakenly this for a pool. Then, the worker jumps over and bites him to death, while Meatwad backs away from them.

In his room, Frylock types a message to the workers about them biting Shake (who has a bite mark from earlier and licking the sweat off of bologna), while he types, Shake keeps making him to add stuff, after he done, Shake ask if they gonna turn the water on, but Frylock refuses and he gonna tell the city about the waste. Shake talks as he was black, this confuses both of them. Frylock turned the lights off, Meatwad gets scared. He turns them back on, to see that Shake suddenly turns black, too much of Meatwad horror.

When Frylock see this, he confused to see him black, Shake does a secret handshake, which he actually hi-fives really fast. Then he place rims all over the house and raps on the roof. Meatwad claims the reason he black, because of the radioactive black man biting him. Frylock do a bunch of tests to get Shake to turn white again including, swimming in Carl's pool, but get yelled at by Boxy Brown, drinking milk, watching professional hockey, and squeezing organic avocados. Meatwad try magic and sorcery to disappear Frylock and tells the black milkshake that he painting him white. Which they does, but didn't work. Boxy Brown offer Shake to play basketball and changing his name to "Mocha Shaka Con." He agrees with Boxy Brown and taken to a basketball court.

Shake shoots really well, while Boxy cheers him on. Then he plays terrible and his grill falls out. Boxy was shocked by this, then his afro falls out too. Then, he tries beatboxing, but fails. Shake successfully turns to his standard white color again. It reveals that Frylock injected a "blaccine" in his orange soda without him noticing. Then, Shake yells where his 401k. Then he yells, "WHEN THE SIMPSONS COME ON?!" Credits.

  • At least 2 bloody accidents happen during the hockey game.
  • This episode proves that no one lives in the white house next door.
  • The graffiti on the side of the Aqua Teen's house says "Leave Freaks". It is possible that Carl wrote the message.
  • Boxy Brown makes his first speaking appearance since the Season 3 finale Carl.
  • Boxy Brown says the word "shit" unbleeped twice in this episode.
  • It reveals in this episode that Frylock is color blind.

Trivia

  • The cover image for the digital downloads for the sixth season was taken from this episode.
  • Frylock and Mocha Shake-a Zulu can hear Boxy Brown talk, but not Meatwad.
  • When Master Shake is bitten, the bite mark switches from side to side due to the animation sequence of flipping the character horizontally and using the same character model during production; however if he were to be a three-dimensional model, the bite mark would not transfer as such.
  • This is another episode where Meatwad states he is afraid of the dark.
  • The title is a spoof of the book Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin. The book is a non-fiction account of how the white author passed as a black man and his experiences in the early '60s American South.
  • Meatwad mentions that he wants a SpongeBob bouncy castle.
  • The episode is also a reference to blaxploitation cinema.
